Dina is a native of Forest Hills Queens and raised in the Queens area. She moved into Dix Hills Long Island before the close of her junior year. Her two brothers are Gregory, her older brother and Evan. Her first exposure to the industry of entertainment was as she was modeling between the ages of nine and sixteen. Her acting career began in The Neighborhood Playhouse, New York. She was a student of Sanford Meisner's methods alongside Ron Stetson for three years. Sandra Bullock and Michael Douglas were among other actors that received this instruction. When she moved into Los Angeles, she got her first role in Beverly Hills, 90210. After being offered the lead part on Johnny Mnemonic where she did majority of the stunts her own, she proved her self as an actor who is athletic. Her agent for talent also represented Matt LeBlanc so, through her agent, she was able to score a recurring role on Friends.
